Q: Do I have to pay to use the services of Loughrea FRC?
A: No. All services available at the FRC are free except for the Counselling service which has a small cost attached based on how much you can afford to pay.
Q: Do courses run by the FRC cost money?
A: A small registration fee (to cover the cost of refreshments) is charged at the start of each course. In some cases this fee is refunded on successful completion of the course.
Q: How does the library work?
A: There is a small library at the FRC which can be used by anybody at any time. Books can be borrowed, exchanged or "bought" for a very small donation.
Q: Can I use a computer at the FRC?
A: There is a desktop computer available for use free of charge to the public, in the FRC reception. Small cost for any printing.
Q: Who are the staff of Loughrea FRC?
A: The co-ordinator is Aine Deely, the administrators are Liz Moroney and Barbara Gray.
The Community Based Family Support worker is Linda Dermody.
Our Caretaker is Derek Devery.
Q: I live outside Loughrea - can I still use the FRC?
A: Yes. Loughrea FRC is open to anybody that needs to use its services and supports irrespective of where they live. However if there is a similar service or support closer to where you live we will let you know about this.
Q: I've just moved to Loughrea and am unfamiliar with the community and area - what can the FRC do for me?
A: The FRC can inform you about the range of supports, services, organisations, amenities and leisure facilities in and around Loughrea.
Q: Is the Family Resource Centre only for parents and children?
A: No - the Family Resource Centre, is for anybody in the community who wishes to use its supports and services.
